If I had all the money in the world I'd be sportin a couple Can Am Outland Max's I can tell you that for sure. What a sweet ride!

| Do all you think that you really need those huge motor sizes? I could see it if you were "working" with it. Like hauling trailers,moving snow in huge lots,or something else that might require the extra HP.
When I bought mine the dealer told me the bigger motors really only get you more top end speed.I don't care if mine goes 70 mph,or 50 mph for that matter as I rarely ever drive that fast-but thats me.
Mike is looking for something for ice fishing,and maybe to push snow around the house.To me he doesn't need a huge motor-but of course he might want one. 
I've pushed lots and lots of snow with mine.Moved smaller boat on trailers with it.And it's great on the ice for fishing.What would a 650-750 get over these things?

I am the master! That's why I needed my own site so I didn't clog up anyone elses. 
You are totally right Ryan. Mike don't need a Brute Force 750. I don't see him using it like that. Another thing to keep in mind is that these giant machines carry giant weights and that isn't always good for on the ice.  Bigger machines give you top end speed and wheelies. That is about it.
I love my Kodiak 400. Not the fastest machine anymore. But quick and nimble. You can't beat it in a utility quad. Mine is so quick and easy slid around that I don't even realize how quick it is. Every time we go riding I am asked to lead. Every time we stop I pull off on a sandbar or something and look back. No other wheelers around.  Couple minutes here they come, and I am not even getting after it really. Having a light machine that you can have great control over is very important to me. When climbing things and crazy stuff that we tend to do if I had a giant machine with tons of power but I had no control over would not be a good combo. I am kind of a small guy so a smaller wheeler fits me better. My wieght as a ratio has more control over a 500# machine than it would an 800# for instance.
Get a brute force if you plan on riding it to work.  Otherwise most rides you never see speeds over 30mph anyways.
And that's my take on that.

| Randy brought up another great point when looking at a machine for ice fishing Mike-weight. If your by yourself,which is the way I think you fish most of the time,and you get stuck those big ATV's can be a huge headache.I was with a buddy years ago on Spirit and he burried his Polaris out on the lake.Took a truck and a couple hundred feet of rope to get it back to shore.Even broke a weld on the luggage rack trying to pull it out.Lots of good feedback for Mike on this thread today.
And Mike,you sure can run mine around when your up at the Resort next week to see if you like it/size.

| You guys have all seen mine in action. I dont think there is any reason to have anything bigger for my own use. It does the job and is light. It carries Steve and I anywhere that we have tried to go. It has a 5 ft blade and gets a workout on the driveway when it snows too.
Dont worry Randy , I wont bash anyone else's as I am sold on our fleet of Polaris and I am sure that most people are loyal to their own brands.  |

Mike I may know of one.
I'll call the guy.
It is the exact same machine as mine. 2000 Yamaha Kodiak (Dark Green) Automatic 4 x 4
He bought it one week after I got mine. So he could ride with me. He hasn't used it in 4 years the thing still looks brand new. He was talking of wanting it out of his garage as he says he will never use it.
I'll call him and see how serious he was. Trust me when I say. No atv has been cared for like this one. Armor All on the tires and all. It is nice!

10-4 on the cat! I just don't think they really intend to ever compete in the quad world. May be ok on the farm but that's about it.
