| Well we got home around 5:30 from the ride. What a day! Man we had a blast on some quite fun yet pretty easy riding. That's a nice trail system and for the most part my wheeler looks as clean as it ever has after a long ride. However that didn't stop me from breaking something on it. Backing up a hill in 4x4 that was fairly steep cause we decided to take a break before starting this new trail and SNAP! Not sure yet what but my guess for now is a u-joint in the front snapped. That was the one and only time I would have had to use 4 x 4 all day long and I broke it! So we put it in 2 and contiued on the ride. I never got stuck once all day with only 2wd so it ended up being ok. You'll see from the pics some of it was pretty soft too but we did fine. The weather was obviously cold and windy and that kept the turnout down. Only around 400 to 500 wheelers there. Still the most I have ever seen in one place at any ride. Here's some pics of when we got there which was pretty early. Cracked the first beer around 9:30am but we wasn't driving home as Bonnie's brother choose to stay sober so we could all have a good time. Thank him for that.

Here's some pics of the crew. We had 3 cops in our group and dea agent. They were all a blast to ride with though and had plenty to drink themselves.

Bonnie's little bro!

Now all the ones of him stuck in one of the bad crossings. Had 2 different places that it took over an hour to come threw the crossing but I still never got stuck as I took the smart ways best I could with only 2wd. Ended up taking 2 wheelers pulling back and 2 3000# winches to get him out of this mess. He was stuck!

Not sure how much money they made yet but it was a fun ride and tons and tons of great people. We will do it again I'm sure.
We did see a couple of flip overs today that are never fun to watch. Inexperienced riders and beer don't always mix so I would definately never promote doing some of the stuff people were doing. Not sure but we know of one other accident that must have been bad. 2 ambulences was there when we left. Hate to see that kind stuff happen. _________________ Randy Ellison

| great pics Randy. I'd love to do something like that after I get some miles under my belt riding them. I'm not to keen on having a 730# machine flip and land on me _________________ see you on the water. Mike |

| Well Mike, the first thing that I would do is just get used to it like you said. You will learn they are truely an amazing and fun toy. They can got threw so much it is just nuts. Very safely too. A machine like you got will be awesomely stable. Unlike most any quad you see have an issue on the trail today. They will just flat out climb! I am not a crazy guy either. I wanna have fun and come home in one pc even if my quad hasn't been lately. So I generaly take the semi smart path threw things. If you ever wanna try and hook up to do a little riding and a get feel for things you know where to find me. _________________ Randy Ellison

Yeah, I am begining to think that I have done too much to add traction to the quad. With the wheel spacers and giant tires and everything like that I tend to think that the stock axles and u-joints are not holding up to the torque and traction that the machine has. Yeah I don't get stuck ever but it is taking a toll on the stock drive line. Thinking when I put it back together I am gonna ditch the wheel spacers and maybe go back to smaller front tires. I am sick of fixing stuff and until I added all that stuff I hadn't broke anything major on it in 8 years. Now it's like every trip out. I'd rather have to get pulled out of a mud hole than back to the truck!
I hope to at some point get a group from the site together to do some riding. Bonnie's dad just bought a bunch more new ground over the weekend that is gonna make our riding loop at the normal spot prolly twice as long as it was before. He even bought a 100 acre worthless plot of timber just for hunting and us to ride on. He rocks!
We are very lucky with the private riding we have with all the ground he has and farmers that he knows. He has been president of the FFA and Pork Porducers and Cattlemen association for like ever! He can pretty much get us on about any ground we want for the most part. We are very good about taking care of the people's ground too and carrying everything out we came in with so the people are usually fine with the trails that we build. Matter of fact most hunters actually like it unless they are in the stand when we ride under them. Them deers tend to really like to use the trails we build. Most stands that her brother puts up are near a field entrance to one of our riding areas and it usually works out well for him. _________________ Randy Ellison
