Just had to give a shout out to them, good article guys and nice to see some of Iowa's finest getting it done.

The show starts at 2 PM Friday and concludes on Sunday afternoon around 3:30. Plenty of time to get home and see more Super Bowl stuff. I am including a link to the show. On the left side there is a link to a coupon that you can print off. Saves half price on a second ticket.

I plan on being there Sunday for a little while ( $4 on Sunday).

If you go to the portal page you will notice that bgoodn now has his own section for articles. He has wrote some articles in the past about custom rod building and such and has offered them to me to add to the site. So they will have there own spot on the portal page and I will add the others here soon.

So thanks to Brian for that, they are great reads and it is always nice to have someone with a great talent be willing to share it with others.

Hey all,

I don't know if anyone has seen this or would be interested but I just thought I would throw it out. The PAA is looking for observers for the back of the boat in the PAA event at Toledo Bend in October. Basically it is the same deal as being a marshal. You get to ride along with the top pro's (many of the same guys as in the Elite Series) and the best part is it don't cost a dime to do and you don't even have to be a PAA member. Just sign up and show up. Pretty cool deal ...

Always was before that true lowrance lovers would down play the usefulness and affectiveness of side imaging. Apparently it was so un needed that they went out and made there own version.

From the IDNR Website

Posted: September 9, 2008

BRIGHTON - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will relax the fishing regulations at Lake Darling on September 12, to allow anglers to more freely harvest fish before the lake is completely drained to repair a spillway leak, extend the dam, and to perform a lake restoration project. The lake water level is currently in slow decline due to the loss of water through the spillway.
