Hey all,

Well with Skeet's boat company pretty much a mess and him still fishing out of an older model boat it was only a matter of time before he ended up somewhere. He is on fire after all.

Branden and I were discussing the situation with how Skeeter doesn't get a guy like SKEET on there Team.

But I guess they didn't.

He announced today he has signed on with stratos and will soon be running a new line of boats that Stratos plans to bring out for 2011.

Here is the story on wired2fish.com

Skeet Signs with stratos

Stratos was part of the GenMar boat line before they went bankrupt, as was Champion.

Will be cool to see what the new boats look like!

I wondered if this wasn't kind of a slide over to a different line within the same company type deal. I just know almost nothing about Stratos boats.

Guess I'll prolly know more in the coming months.

Platnium Equity bought all of GenMar's assests, which included Ranger Boats, Champion, Stratos, WellCraft, Four Winns, and Glastron.

From what I remember from reading on BassFan was that they decided to defunct the Champion line and keep Ranger and Stratos.

Either way, I imagine having someone like Skeet involved in the build, they will be sweet boats.

Stratos is a value brand

Ranger and Champion are premim brands

No more Champ as of right now unless they sell the name.
