Hmmmmmm surprised your rig don't take more oil than that Mike. Mine uses a little over 3qts when you change the filter.
I try to never think about long term storage. I at least get it out and ride it around town or something for a bit if it hasn't seen any action in a while. Just to keep everything working and the battery charged. Maybe someone else will have some ideas for ya. _________________ Randy Ellison

I'm with Randy on this one. I get mine out and run it at least once every couple of weeks, so I never really have any long term storage issues. If you do not get it out for a couple of months, though, I would just make sure to keep 'Stabil' or some other fuel stabilizer in the tank. As well as put the battery on the charger from time to time. Other than that, I don't think your quad will need much. Mine is a 2003, and other than cleaning the air filter and changing the oil once a year, I have never done a thing to it. It is probably due for a tune-up, but it runs great right now, so I haven't felt the need. |

| Mike,
I'm thinking of getting the little battery tender. It has the quick disconnect, just hook it up to the battery, run the cable to where you want to hook it up and you are ready to go. Leave it hooked up till you are ready to ride, unplug it, put the water tite cap on and away you go. If I remember correctly there are 3 levels of charge. After the battery is charged it will just maintain it. Never have to unhook it till you use the ATV and it WILL NOT hurt the battery. Atleast that's what they say.

| Hey Mike ...Steve said you can bring it over and he will do his yard chores with it so it stays "used" for the off season ........ . He kind of liked the power steering I think !!! |
