Just a reminder to everyone that along with turkey season, shroom season, and pond fishing in the spring that it is also time for those pesky ticks to come back out. I found 5 of them on me tonight, 3 in the woods and 2 at home. One of them at home had all ready attached itself to my thigh and was getting ready to dig in!! affraid

I normally put Frontline on the the back of my neck, sure beats wearing the flea & tick collar I used to have.

Good reminder though, I've only seen one all year so far. Buzzed the hair during 2nd season so I can find them easier up there. I used to hate it when you were combing your hair and the comb would wreck into a big ole bloated one.

If any of you get Iowa Outdoors magazine there was a good article in last months issue about a guy who got Lyme disease from a tick. I thought it said it takes 36 hours to get it once the tick bites. scratch I'll have to look at it again. But that crap takes a major toll on a healthy guy. And it also said any tick you find on you dug in, you should save in a plastic sack or jar, with a blade of grass. If you start to find symptoms of Lyme disease than you can send it in to find out for sure.

I hope I got em all washed off after my trek yesterday. I found 2. My first of the season. For some reason they usually don't like me that well. Seems they like some people more than others, either that or some are just luckier than others. Those mushroons are worth it though! bounce
