    Hey all,

Well we all knew it was coming, now it is here. It will be making its first appearance at ICAST which is going on right now.

So now my question to all the lowrance guys is. Since lowrance now has side imaging sonar is it now a good product? Always was before that true lowrance lovers would down play the usefulness and affectiveness of side imaging. Apparently it was so un needed that they went out and made there own version. Rolling Eyes Laughing

Nother fancy fishing tool I'll never have. Shocked

Don't know if it will be any better or even as good as the h'bird. I do know lowrance has had some trouble with their newer units.
I can't afford them either. That's why I own a couple of Eagles. They work for me.

Maybe Lowrance's will be a little easier to read and understand. Most of the time, I just couldn't "get" what I was looking at on the Humminbirds. I think you spent more time just figuring out what the heck you were looking at than actually fishing!

I am sure it is something I will do without as well. Unless someone gives one to me! lol!

Well it sounds pretty sweet from what I have seen on twitter. James Hall is out on the lake in Disney world paying with it and he said it has such clear detail that you could see each bolt holding the foot bridges beams together. I'd say thats pretty good detail. Shocked

Sounds pretty cool, I'd love to play around with one on my waters. But like everyone has said, I'll put it up there on my wish list with the dual Power Poles.

10-4. I'd take the power poles over the sonar any day. Wink

Well, I know at least one other person that frequents this site that has the same Lowrance as me. I have never downplayed the side imaging thing but admit, I have questioned it's usefulness. I have a hard enough time just reading the bottom let alone a side image.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in a good used LMS332C that has been reading 2.4 and 2.5 feet when it is in 20 feet of water, let me know. I am about ready to try something different. I wrote Lowrance 3 days ago and have not heard a word back yet. Makes me wonder if I should think about a bird for my next one. Not long ago, the birds were not thought allot of and Lowrance was. I think it has turned around some. cheers

I heard you been having some issues John. That sucks.

Sure would be nice if someone would offer you a little help on the support side. Hope you get things figured out.

BTW, I wasn't really talking about anyone on this particular site that tends to dog on the Side imaging sonar. It is more from some of the big sites and I have even seen some of the pro's that don't think it is useful. I just have a funny feeling that they are all gonna find it a lot more useful now. Laughing I would guess that 3/4 of the Elite Series field ran Lowrance electronics. The only guys that wasn't is the guys that was running HB side imaging.
