| Hey all, I really think this is something that every single one of us should read. I almost wonder if something like this don't have something to do with my current outboard issues. I run a ton of ethanol thru that motor in a year. Scares me. So check it out! K-Pinks issues! _________________ Randy Ellison

| Saw a guy in Canada with the same problem. For something that is supposed to fix our fuel problems it sure does create a lot of other problems. |

| So what did they do to fix the boat? Just sounded like it needed a good cleaning of the fuel system. I don't run the Ethanol blend in mine, and I use Seafoam. _________________ ........Be The Jig........

| I do not run ethanol either. I do, however, run the most expensive gas you can get. Usually 91 octane around here. I have been told it helps alot on all these no wake lakes and the gumming up of the motor. At least it did on my old carborated Mercury. Guess I am not sure about the fuel injected engine . |

| With all respect, I thought running NO ethanol in your boat motor was fairly common knowledge? Seriously, that was not meant to come off as being a smart a$$. |

| I have alway avoided ethanol on boat motors. Not only do it attract moisture, but the alchohol content will quickly break down rubber and plastic.
The only time I have used ethanol in a boat is when we are going to be doing a lot of running in the tuna boat and I won't have much left in it when I take it out.
My old Mud Buddy, just plain would not run with anything less than 93 octane. The higher the octane the better on that salad tosser!!! |
