This weekend is the CR/IC sport show at the Coralville Marriot. If you are looking for something to do and are in the area. The show starts at 2 PM Friday and concludes on Sunday afternoon around 3:30. Plenty of time to get home and see more Super Bowl stuff. I am including a link to the show. On the left side there is a link to a coupon that you can print off. Saves half price on a second ticket.
I plan on being there Sunday for a little while ( $4 on Sunday).

Thanks for the heads up! I made it up to that one the year previous. I almost always make the Quad Cities show. I need to check when that one is. scratch
Just checked starts on the 18th goes to the 21st. Usually a good show too! Anyone going to make that one?
Oh ya, another edit, here is the link to the show. http://www.qccaexpocenter.com/

Just my 2 cents! Don't waste your time! I was there this afternoon. If you want to see some pleasure boats and campers and look at a few resorts, it would be OK but for an avid fisherman, not so much! Evil or Very Mad

Thanks, John. I haven't been feeling to well so I didn't make it to the show. Looks like I saved a couple of bucks.

That is disapointing. I saw a little bit about the show on the news. What they showed didn't interest me much.

I always enjoy the one at the QCCA much more. This is the second one I have been to at the Marriot. I wasn't impressed the first time but this second time, I was even less impressed!

I myself haven't been impressed with the QCCA one. Not much there I wanted to buy, except for 40 to 80 thousand dollar Bass boats, and that was just a dream. I'd be much happier just swingin by Fin and Feather, Scheels, Gander, Dicks Sporting Goods, etc... Free to get in and no hassle of the crowds.

Ya, good point! Normally at the QCCA show there is much more tackle available though. K and K Hardware always has a ton of stuff. Not always the best prices but usually have some deals going on everything from Shimano reels to Berkley Series One Rods. I bought a couple of Series One Rods from them a couple of years ago for under 40. per rod. Other dealers their as well and many more fishin type boats than what they had at Coralville. I can spend 3 hours in there without trying but then, I am a shopper and enjoy seeing the latest stuff.
On a side note, I had to go to Des Moines today. (it was a real mess up there with the snow), decided to stop for a few minutes at the new BP up there. Impressive store! Wish I hadn't been worried about getting home as I would have spent allot more time in there than I did. The good news is, I only bought 4 lures while I was there! Shocked
