PostSubject: Major site changes!   Thu Jun 19, 2008 12:47 pm

    Ok guys,

Well as some of you know and all of you are prolly wondering there has been major changes in this web servers abilities over night. They have changed almost everything on me and I am working to learn how it works. I like most everything they did though so it looks like it is only going to be a good thing for the site.

The one thing that I am subject to here right now that many of you are not used to with other sites is that at this point other than the photo gallery space and pm storage everything about the server that is hosting this site is FREE. So that being said I am kinda subject to whatever they decide to do to make changes and I have to work with it. So far for a company hosting a free site they seem extremely proactive in helping there admins so I am quite pleased with that and plan to stick around here to watch them grow.

The one major thing that I have noticed is that the bookmarked page that you may have saved in your favorites could be wrong at this point. If it takes you to the old Portal page that no longer exhists you should delete that bookmark and just type in www.fishn4fun.net and it will load the new current main page and bookmark it.

Thanks everyone for you understanding and feel free to give me an honest answer on the poll. I do want to know what YOU all want in a website more than anything. ;)

I like the new look. on the computer at wok the page is wider than the screen which I'm not a fan of but maybe that's just a work deal

Hmmm, I would guess it is a work issue.

I know about that sucking though. I hate it too. It is not that way on my screen and mine is pretty old too.

    Was it that way before?
Do you know what your monitor and video cards resolution is set at?

I base this site off of a page that is 1024 pixels wide which is narrower than many sites use but I hate it being too wide and I don't have high resolution equipment. Keep me in the loop on this. I want to make it good for all if possible.

That is very strange then Mike. Accoarding to what I can see the pixels are exactly the same as they was yestarday as far as how wide the page is.

I'll see what I can find out for you.

Im experiencing the same window size issues as Mike. Not too big of a deal as its just at work. Tried at home over lunch and it looked the same there. Otherwise I like the look, although I ain't gonna be picky.

Do you know what your screen resolution and video card are set at?

I need that info from either of you to really be able to figure it out. ;)

    I run mine on 1024 x 768
