did some more pricing today and I can get a camo 2008 500 EFI polaris with 3000# WINCH AND 50" AMERICAN EAGLE county plow and hand warmers for $7790

I can get the same accessories and a 2009 550 EFI XP for about a grand more. the owner asked what I would be using it for and I said mainly tuggging ice shacks and moving snow and he said the XP enhancements are more for trail riding rather than utility use and if he were me he wouldn't spend the extra $$. well he's not me Wink and I think a 1 year newer model, bigger engine and more load/towing capacity and the fancy looks are worth the extra money...what do you guys think. I may be going to Ames tomorrow to compare prices

Was the 08 used at all, or still new?

For just an extra K, I'd spend it and buy the newer model. Of course the salesman is trying to get rid of the older one first, he's got all year to sell the new one as "new".

And along with that thinking I bet you could talk him down some more on the 08 since it's the older model now.

Just look at all the OT you've been working Mike, get out some of that moldy money and reward yourself! Smile

It'll be like a Christmas present to the kids too! You won't need a hill to go sleding anymore!
