I know it is bad economic times and right now it is the right thing to do, not raise fees. But in the future I wouldn't/won't mind paying a little more as long as some government official doesn't decide the money is better spent in the "General Fund". As long as the money goes to fishing habitat, acquisition of lands for new lakes, greater law enforcement etc.I am all for it. Even at $20 per year that is still pretty cheap entertainment. It is the accessories ( new rods,reels,tackle,boats....etc.) That costs a person. But I'm sure there isn't anybody on this site that buys all the extras. :lol!: :hook1:

What if they made a Fishing habitat fee like the hunters have to buy. I believe all the money from the habitat fee goes back into hunting land, so the same could be used waters.

Also more could be done to get others that use hunting areas and lake projects to do other activities to chip in a little too.

I don't mind paying my fair share as long as it's allocated for it's intended purpose
